Paws Hotel is a Melbourne-based cattery with two locations. When they first approached us, their goal was clear: they wanted to improve their visibility and compete more strongly against other catteries in Melbourne.
At the beginning, the client only wanted to trial our SEO service for one month. If they did not see meaningful progress, they were not planning to continue. This made the first month especially important, as we needed to show clear ranking improvements quickly.
After reviewing the website, we found that the main issue was local SEO. Although Paws Hotel served the Melbourne market, the website content, page titles, and key SEO elements were not properly optimised around Melbourne-based search terms.
To improve relevance, we refined the website content and metadata to better target local search intent. This included strengthening the use of “Melbourne” across important pages, improving keyword alignment, and helping Google better understand the business location, service area, and customer intent.
At the start of the campaign, only 2 out of 11 target keywords were ranking on the first page, and none were in the top 3 positions. By the end of the first month, we helped Paws Hotel rank 4 keywords in the top 3 positions, with 6 keywords ranking on the first page overall.
The client was extremely happy with the results and continued renewing their SEO service monthly. Today, Paws Hotel has 8 keywords ranking on the first page, with 6 of them in the top 3 positions. The campaign also achieved a 95% increase in impressions and a 61% increase in organic clicks, showing strong growth in both visibility and search traffic.
